Da Capo Ensemble is a vocal quintet performing music of Renaissance as well as modern composers. It consists of five stable singers who have long time experience with singing both ensemble music and solo parts. We offer several thematic programmes, some of them designed for a larger number of musicians. In those cases the ensemble cooperates with prominent artists.
Vocal group Da Capo Ensemble was established by members of Brno Academic Choir in 1997. It emerged from their need to perform chamber music of late Middle Ages and Renaissance, which was not possible to do in a large mixed choir with respect to the rules of interpretation. But it was not only the old music that attracted the members of the group. They began to introduce music of modern composers which gradually became a stable part of their repertoir.
The group has had a number of concerts in the Czech Republic as well as abroad on various occasions. They participated in music festivals and all sorts of social events, they cooperated with other choirs and music groups, they recorded stage music for theatre performances etc.
These opportunities allow the singers to satisfy their passion for the harmony of human voices, which is one of the most beautiful moments that the perfomance of music offers to enjoy.
